Remote Desktop + SSH

Remote desktop & SSH access — no VPN, no port forwarding

Secure remote desktop and SSH terminal access through a browser. Works across firewalls, NAT, and private networks — live in under 2 minutes.

Key features

One tunnel, every protocol

Access shells, desktops, and metrics for every server and endpoint from one dashboard.

xterm.js-based web terminal

Multi-tab SSH with saved credentials, host-key verification, command history, and custom terminal fonts and colour schemes — no client, no keys on laptops, no VPN.

RDP, VNC, SSH, Telnet

Every mainstream remote protocol in the browser, delivered through an HTML5 remote-access gateway — plus our first-party Rust remote-desktop engine for the high-performance path.

SFTP file explorer

Upload, download, rename, delete, copy, bulk-operate. Preview text and logs. Hierarchical navigation with right-click context menu and full-text search.

Works behind NAT

Agent uses outbound-only connections — works across firewalls with no network changes. Agentless mode available via the remote-access gateway.

Connection library

Hierarchical connection groups, auto-discovery of network devices, SSH key authentication, and optional certificate-warning overrides for lab environments.

Every session audited

Session recording with playback, complete connection history, file-transfer audit with operator attribution, per-user rate limits on connection attempts.

FAQ

Common questions

How are connections secured?
HTTPS transport to LynxTrac, TLS for RDP where available, SSH key authentication, and AES-256-GCM encryption at rest for every saved credential. The LynxTrac agent only makes outbound connections, so no inbound ports are ever exposed.
Can I fully remove the agent?
Yes. The agent uninstalls cleanly with a single command — no residual services, processes, or registry entries left behind.
Do I really not need a VPN?
Correct. The agent initiates outbound TLS to LynxTrac infrastructure. You connect via your browser through the same tunnel — no VPN, no port forwarding, no dynamic DNS.
How does this scale for teams?
Role-based access controls let you grant per-endpoint and per-team permissions. Usage scales from one machine to tens of thousands of servers with the same agent.
